The best BBQ I have ever had, no joke! The owners are great people who care deeply about their food, customers, employees, and community. Every time I come here the food is always amazing, and all of the staff are great!

Visited family from Europe and had an incredible experience! Loved that it’s a family-owned business, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They surprised us with a beautiful drink at the end of our delicious meal. Definitely coming back!

Food is good . We came in 7pm line was huge by the time it was our turn they Ran out ribs , potatoes. And we got last pound of brisket . Nachos are good too . I guess food is good when it gets sold out quickly

While driving through on our way to Phoenix, AZ, we stumbled upon 589 Hickory BBQ Co., and we’re so glad we did! This place is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic Texas barbecue. We went for the BBQ meat platter, and it exceeded all expectations. The brisket was incredibly tender and juicy, practically melting in our mouths, and the jalapeno sausage had just the right amount of kick—absolutely perfect. But it wasn’t just the food that impressed us. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a true family-style vibe. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, taking the time to chat with us and ensure we had everything we needed. The service was top-notch, friendly, and full of Texas charm. It’s not often you find a place where both the food and the people are equally amazing, but 589 Hickory BBQ Co. nailed it. We’ll definitely make this a regular stop on future trips—can’t wait to come back for more! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true Texas BBQ experience.

Can't give enough stars wow!! Absolutely delicious! Husband got ribs, and I got sliced brisket with a taco, baked beans and corn!! Brisket melts in the mouth, sauce out of this world! Woody Creek who??? Leaps and bounds above most BBQ joints around here!! Coming here any chance we get!! Worth every penny!

I walked in the front door to a warm welcome from the staff! They briefly explained their menu and how to order, then described their sides to me. The sliced brisket was amazing, super tender and moist. The jalapeno cheddar sausage had a great crispy exterior and was so flavorful! Now, as important as the meat is in BBQ, I'm a firm believer that the sides can make or break the experience. Green Chili Hominy - just get it! It's so different and has amazing complex flavors. The greens - y'all, I could eat these everyday! They're easily the absolute best I have ever had! BBQ sauce - definitely different but in a great way! Again, complex flavors but without overpowering the meats! The price - with a beer, that was a 40 plate but as you can see from the last photo, it was entirely too much food for me for one meal! So I'll gladly enjoy a second meal out of that! Additionally, I read many other prior reviews, this place is not overpriced, the meat is weighed properly, the staff is not rude and the bathrooms are easily located through the door to the patio!

Great tacos and brisket Burgers! Went back and it was great! My family loves coming here! We enjoyed the live music today!

Wow! Mike and his team served fresh, flavorful BBQ like no other. Every bite tasted like it was carefully crafted in a hometown atmosphere. My wife isn’t a fan a BBQ, but she is now a lifelong fan of 589 BBQ! Even if you don’t live in the area, it is worth the drive.
